Railstastic
April 18th, 2006The Ruby On Rails version of this blog is coming along quite nicley, and I’m really glad I’m learning it. Now I just have to sot tight and hope Media Temple’s Shared Server 6.0 upgrade happens soon.
I was right.

Haven’t touched Second Life in days, due mostly to the fact that my wife bought me Animal Crossing: Wild World for my Nintendo DS (which she also has for her’s). I feel like we reconnected some long lost teenage attribute we lost along the path to parenthood. Strangley enough, the house has never been cleaner and the kids happier. Could video games be making us more responsible?
Kottke’s at it again!
April 17th, 2006Jason Kottke joined The Deck today, a indie ad network that supports other heavy hitters such as Waxy.org and 37Signals. Pretty cool to see these guys playing by their own rules.
Speaking of 37Signals, I’m planning on abandoning WordPress and redoing this blog in web wunderkind Ruby On Rails (No hard feelings WP).

Cadbury Cake
April 12th, 2006Matt Haughy linked this up this morning and it is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a good long time.
Second Life
April 12th, 2006I decided this morning to take the next plunge in online community: Second Life.
If you don’t know what Second Life is, just imagine Myspace inside a 3d-world. I’m sure I’ll tire of it quickly and not have enough time to play it, but heck it’s free and they gave me $250 ingame to play with.
Yay for Hearmusic.
April 11th, 2006XM Radio’s Hearmusic station (owned by Starbucks) is having a good day today. Rocky Votolato followed by Rosanne Cash and ended with Sufjan Stevens was the best unintentional 3-in-a-row I’ve ever heard.
We’re Back and we’re uglier than ever!
April 11th, 2006As you can see this blogs is back up (as well as the main EDC site), and I didn’t back up any of the database when our server exploded. So deal with the vanilla wordpress goodness for a day or two while I get somehting nicer up.
